艾尔顿·赫拉克勒斯·约翰( Sir Elton Hercules John)，原名雷金纳德·肯尼思·德怀特，1947年3月25日出生于英国伦敦。他是英国歌手、歌曲作者、钢琴家、演员和慈善家。

1964年，埃尔顿·约翰在一家周末酒吧开始了他的音乐生涯。1969年发行首张个人专辑《空空如也》。上世纪70年代，他连续7张专辑登上美国排行榜榜首，其中6张被《滚石》杂志评选为“史上最伟大的500张专辑”。
