Prince，(1958年6月7日-2016年4月21日)美国歌手、词曲作者、音乐人、演员。它以全面的音乐天赋、华丽的服装和舞台表演而闻名。Prince是一位多产的音乐家。至今已发行近40张个人专辑，创作歌曲1000余首。Prince他精通各种乐器，专辑大多由歌词和乐器组成。同时，Prince颇具实验性，其音乐风格横跨黑白乐坛，几乎每出一张新专辑都会融入新的音乐元素。上世纪80年代初，Prince创造了一种独特的音乐风格，被称为“明尼阿波利斯之声”，影响了很多音乐人。1997年，Prince卖出了超过1亿张唱片。除此之外，Prince还以胆大妄为、性格古怪而闻名。王子已经赢得了七个格莱美奖，五个美国音乐奖，三个全英音乐奖和四个MTV音乐录影带奖。他还于2004年入选美国摇滚名人堂，2006年入选英国音乐名人堂。2004年，王子在《滚石》杂志评选的“100位最杰出艺术家”中排名第27位。2016年4月21日上午，美国流行乐坛传奇、以多才多艺和多产闻名的歌手“王子”纳尔逊在明尼苏达州佩斯利花园豪宅去世，享年57岁。
